Do I require a referral from a doctor to obtain physiotherapy services?
Many insurance companies within the UAE require you to first obtain a referral for physiotherapy
prior to treatment. This will all depend upon your individual health insurance policy. Patients who
do not wish to claim on their insurance do not require a referral to access physiotherapy services.
What should I wear for physiotherapy?
The physiotherapist will need to physically assess the area with which you are having a problem
therefore we recommend light comfortable easily removable clothing. Patient privacy and dignity is
paramount at BounceBack Physiotherapy.
Can I choose to see a male or a female physiotherapist?
BounceBack Physiotherapy respects the rights of its patients to choose which ever therapist they
feel more comfortable with. Please advise the receptionist when booking your appointment if you
have a preference for a male or female therapist.
What should I bring with me?
On your first appointment please bring any medical reports, referrals, medical history, Xrays, MRI
scans and a list of any medication you are currently taking. A full and thorough history will enable
the physiotherapist to better understand your problem which requires treatment.
Can I bring a chaperone with me?
Yes patients are entitled to a chaperone during any assessment and treatment sessions, we would
request that only one additional chaperone attends if required due to overcrowding in the treatment
areas and out of respect of other patients and staff.
How do I pay for my session?
We accept cash and all major debit and credit cards.
How do I obtain a physiotherapy report?
Physiotherapy reports are obtained on request, a disclosure form for the report will need to be
completed by the patient. There is an administration charge of 175 AED per report. Reports will be
available within 24 hours of request.
How many sessions of physiotherapy will I require before I am better?
The Physiotherapist will first need to assess your problem before being able to provide a
prognosis. They will inform you of this following your initial assessment.
