Kate Quinlan

BHSc (Hons), MPT

Kate is a graduate summa cum laude from McMaster University’s Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours) program in Ontario, Canada. During her undergraduate career, she developed a keen interest in Anatomy and Physiology and enjoyed working with patients while volunteering at McMaster University Medical Centre, which led her to pursue a career in Physiotherapy.

Prior to completing her Masters of Physical Therapy degree, Kate worked full-time as a Physiotherapy Assistant in two Canadian Long Term Care facilities, delivering personalized exercise programs to a caseload of 175 clients. It was here that she witnessed first-hand how rehabilitation enhanced her clients’ quality of life by encouraging mobility and wellness.  This further solidified her resolve to become a Physiotherapist.

In 2011, Kate attended Western University in London, Ontario, Canada, to complete a Master of Physical Therapy (MPT) degree. Her clinical experience during this time included outpatient orthopedic clinics, surgical acute care, ICU rehab, and inpatient neurological rehab.

Upon graduating with her Masters of Physiotherapy, Kate accepted a new challenge as a full-time Physiotherapist in the home care setting in rural Ontario, Canada. Kate was responsible for rehabilitating adult and senior populations with conditions encompassing all domains of physiotherapy:  musculoskeletal and orthopedic injuries as well as neurological and/or cardiorespiratory conditions.

Kate’s professional career led her to a new opportunity in the United Arab Emirates where she accepted the position of Director and Physiotherapist Head with a Home Care company in the U.A.E.

Kate enjoys spending time with her family travelling, camping in the desert or fishing. She enjoys running half marathons and following high intensity interval training (HIIT) exercise regimens. Her artsy side enjoys pottery, scrapbooking and woodworking.
