Holly Angus – Clinical Dietician
RD, PG Dip, BSc (Hons)
Holly (Dietetics) qualified as a registered clinical dietitian in London (UK) in 2015 after completing her postgraduate diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics. Prior to that she completed a BSc (Hons) degree in Food, Nutrition and Health Science in the North East of England.
Once registered Holly worked in the NHS in the South West of England, in Poole Hospital. She worked with inpatients in elderly care, nutrition support, gastroenterology and oncology in both oral and enteral feeding. She worked with outpatients for nutrition support, coeliac disease, Crohns disease and IBS. Holly worked with patients for weight management and the management of Type 2 diabetes, in both an individual and group setting, working closely with diabetic nurses and consultants. She was also part of the team to deliver cardiac rehabilitation to patients who had suffered a cardiac event, ensuring appropriate and adequate nutrition for those getting back into activities and exercise.
Following this, Holly joined the team as a senior dietitian in the Dorset Cancer Centre, where she worked with patients across the county with head and neck cancer. She ensured adequate nutrition from diagnosis, throughout treatment of either surgery, radiotherapy, and/or chemotherapy, and during rehabilitation. She worked closely with Oncologists, Surgeons, Speech and Language Therapists and Specialist Nurses.
Holly moved to Abu Dhabi in 2018 with her husband, where she has continued her learning in weight management and sport nutrition through peer assisted online seminars. She is passionate about health and fitness herself and enjoys doing CrossFit at least 4 times a week.
Holly joined BounceBack Physiotherapy in October 2019 as a clinical dietician and is already helping the Abu Dhabi community with their dietary questions, needs and advice. Check our blog to see some of Hollys professional advice with regards dietetics.
